The Welcome Club started in May 2022 to provide a meeting point for Ukrainian refugees arriving in our area in significant numbers. Funding was provided by the local Lions and the Rotary Club which enabled us to hire a venue and provide refreshments. In April 2023, the Club received £10,000 from Lincolnshire County Council to provide an activity programme to help this group of Ukrainians to integrate into the local community. We have a busy programme including trips to places of interest, sports; music and other leisure events; as well as being able to continue the Welcome Club as a regular meeting place with activities.
